Poynting XPOL-2 Omni Antenna
4.5 +5dB gain
Image: Poynting
The XPOL-2 is the RV/boat/mobile-install antenna of choice. Because it’s omnidirectional, you don’t need to aim it at a specific tower — useful when you’re parking somewhere new every day or the best tower keeps changing with terrain.
For fixed homes where you can aim at a consistent tower, a directional panel (Waveform MIMO) will outperform this. For mobile or unknown-tower installs, the XPOL-2 is hard to beat.
Pros
- Omnidirectional — no need to aim at a specific tower
- Rugged enclosure designed for marine/RV use
- Cross-polarized dual output for MIMO
- Wide band including n41 2.5GHz
Cons
- Lower gain than directional panels (5dB vs 9dB+)
- Premium price for an omni antenna
- Only 2 outputs — won't use all 4 ports on an M6 Pro
